The first wave of G-Sync HDR displays created by Nvidia, and rebranded by Acer and a number of other manufacturers, is coming in two weeks, with luxurious IPS panels, 144Hz refresh rate, high-dynamic range capabilities, and 384 backlit zones. On top of that, Acer’s panels feature 1000 nits of brightness, in compliance with HDR10 requirements, for images that are spectacularly dynamic and life-like.

No, Microsoft’s $400 Surface Tablet does not need to compete against the Apple iPad

The latest is that Microsoft is about to introduce a cheaper edition of Surface, supposedly priced at $400. The new device will have a 10-inch screen, and will run Windows 10 in “S” mode, a slimmed-down Windows 10 configuration available at a cheaper price, with the option to upgrade to Pro, and designed to work exclusively with Microsoft Store apps.
