Piper Jaffray’s senior research analyst Gene Munster is placing a bet on Apple planning to release a smart TV, by 2016.

Since Apple’s big reveal of the iMac Retina, the desktop PC has been enjoying a fair bit of stage presence, and we are prepared to bet it will continue to do extremely well through the holidays and beyond, especially when offering the outstanding specs found in the following top five shopping cart “must haves”.

The biggest blow into Android’s market domination by iOS, is expected to be “Continuity”, an ingenious app that lets iOS users work and share documents seamlessly between iOS and MacOS. Even more amazing is the feature that allows iOS users to “patch through” iPhone calls to a Mac.

Broadcom and Marvell are only two companies mentioned by Apple at the WWDC, but there are many more looking to create the next generation of home automation devices, in an industry expected to be worth as much as 14.4 Trillion dollars.
