This is my second Chromebook, and one of the major selling points for me to upgrade was battery life. Compared to older models, this one is far more capable and lasts a lot longer on standby.
It's simple, lightweight, and very fast. If the majority of your work is done using Google apps, this is the perfect laptop for you.
One thing to remember is that this is not a Windows laptop, so you won't be running desktop applications, however this device can do a lot and there is quite a lot of apps that can run offline.
