Over the last several weeks, there has been more and more information coming out that details what people can expect from the iPhone 6 when it is released by Apple sometime this fall. While the company does not address rumors or discuss new products before their official launch dates, new reports and leaks indicate what can be expected from the brand. A new report from the industry website 9to5Mac says that the iPhone 6 will likely come with new sensors that can measure weather, among other environmental factors.

Previous pieces of information indicate that the newest version of the Apple smartphone is going to be larger than past models and will feature a redesigned metal body. In addition to all of the other features that already come standard with the iPhone, the latest one will come with a barometer, a sensor that has been installed in competitors in the past. A barometer is used to measure altitude, and it is a feature that is commonly used by those who enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and mountain climbing.

Being able to keep track of these measures - as well as outside weather and temperature conditions - is going to be very welcome news for those who like to remain active on a regular basis. While there are already several apps that serve this same basic function, having it wired into the software of the new iPhones will make it fundamentally easier to incorporate into every life.
