On Tuesday, September 9, Apple CEO Tim Cook - along with other speakers and musical guest U2 - made several major announcements about the company's newest products for the coming months. While the tech giant did release official images of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, arguably the biggest news of the afternoon came when Cook discussed what he believes is the future of technology - the Apple Watch.

After months of intense speculation from all corners of the industry and internet, Apple finally made it official that it will begin selling smartwatches sometime in early 2015. While Cook did speak at length about the newest device, many are reporting that the final bugs and kinks are still being worked out by developers. One of the most talked-about aspects of the watch, which Apple did not go into much detail about, is the battery life.

According to a report from industry website re/Code, Apple is still working on the battery life of the Apple Watch. The tech company is said to be unhappy with the current length of how long the battery lasts, which is rumored to be an entire day, as long as the device is charged while the user is asleep. Apple spokesperson Nat Kerris tells the website that he was unable to speculate on the current battery life of the watch, but says that he expects users will need to charge it at least once a day.

While the Apple Watch is still a few months away from its official release, Apple still has many amazing products that are already available for purchase.
