Earlier this week, Apple began taking steps to protect its customers from a security vulnerability due to a flaw that was recently found in the Adobe Flash Player. The feature, which allows many programs and apps to run on tablets and computers, has a bug that would allow hackers to steal a person's browser data from their computer without the user's knowledge.

In an effort to strengthen the security of their products and keep user information safe, Apple has released a new version of the Adobe Flash Player system for all of their current Macbook Pro and Macbook Air operating systems. With this new player - known as version 14.0.0.145 - customers on OS X will be able to keep all of their personal information safe from online abuse.

Consequently, any Adobe Flash Player version older than the one currently being offered by Apple will no longer be able to run on OS X. The tech giant has completely blocked the use of the outdated - and unsafe - player for Safari, meaning that users will simply have to download and install the newest one in order to keep using their computers without any services being interrupted.

Although the block is only specifically affecting Safari and not third-party web browsers, Apple is urging all consumers to download the new Adobe in order to keep their computers or tablets as secure as possible. Apple remains dedicated to protecting the security of every customer.
