One of the wonderful things about Apple products - from the iPad mini to the Macbook Air - is how durable they are. As long as they are properly cared for, they will be able to run smoothly and reliably for years. However, there will inevitably come a point where the device will need to be replaced, for a myriad of different reasons. No electronic device is going to last forever, but you will likely encounter a few warning signs that a replacement is soon going to be necessary.

Here are a few signs that your iPhone needs to be traded in for a new one:

  • It dies quickly: One of the surefire signs that your iPhone needs to be replaced is how quickly it dies on you. If you find that a charge does not get you more than a couple hours of battery life, then the problem could be either with the battery or the internal mechanisms of the phone itself. Either way, a replacement will be necessary.
  • The screen is damaged: If your phone has sustained chips, cracks and other screen damage to the point where you can't even read a text message or see who is calling you, getting a new one should be a priority.
  • Your web browser is slow: Not being able to jump from website to website on your phone quickly enough can be very frustrating, especially in time-sensitive situations. While this could be a problem with the network or signal - try it in a few different locations - if speed is continually an issue, you should have it brought in to be looked at by a professional.
