Microsoft confirms MS Office for Mac in 2015

It’s going to be a busy year for the Redmond giant, with Windows 10 in the works. Back in May this year we have come across a leaked document, outlining plans for a brand new version of the Microsoft Office suite, set to implement ink-based technology and a true touch-based experience. Finally, Microsoft has announced the release of a new version of its Office suite for Mac, although it is still unclear how close it will be to what we have seen in the leaked memo.

We are at a threshold. If it isn’t obvious by now, to Windows users, it will be soon enough. This week might not be the end of Windows 7, as it was for Windows XP, yet it sure looks like a notice of “de facto” discontinuation of a product destined to be forgotten by the end of 2015.

What's the most reliable brand? The numbers are in, Apple comes up on top.

Consumer Report asked 50,000 subscribers for their input on 10 laptop brands, to find out which brand can be relied upon the most. Within a three year span, only 8 percent of Apple laptop owners reported to have needed repairs for their products. Gateway and Toshiba come in second, with 12 percent of users requiring technical support at various degrees, followed by Samsung, HP, Lenovo, Dell, Sony and Acer. 16% of Asus owners seem to have reported problems with their device, pushing Asus at the bottom of the list.
