iWatch, AKA "iTime" likely to be unveiled at Apple's September 9 event.

“iTime” seems to be the name, landed by Apple, for its revolutionary new wearable device, set to WOW the iCrowds, this September 9, as the side-kick of the highly anticipated iPhone 6.

As catchy as “iWatch” has been, it appears that the name, most likely created by a mix of misguided rumors and wishful thinking, worked like a charm in one of the best marketing non-campaigns ever executed.

Apple iTime was thought to be initially slated to appear at its very own event in October, a prediction up for debate, now that Apple is less than a week away from its iPhone 6 big reveal.

Since Apple’s WWDC, the company has been very clear that home automation and fitness were going to be high on the priority list; a strong indicator that the iPhone 6 and iTime will include HomeKit and HealthKit, the much anticipated apps predicted to push innovation in both home automation and health monitoring/fitness tracking.

The hiring of former Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts as senior vice president of strategy for retail and online stores, further corroborates the notion that the company is likely to push wearable tech in future years, by incrementing the appeal of its devices to women, in a stereotypically male-centric industry.

Apple’s tried and true culture of patience and perfectionism, carries the promise of obliterating its competition, which until now has been Samsung’s Galaxy Gear, as its one noteworthy opponent.
