Over the past few months, Apple has made it no secret that it would be working on an upgraded version of its Apple TV, to try and break into the television arena. According to a report, the new version of the Apple TV is going to come with a feature that is already familiar to Apple customers - the voice of Siri.

While this is still in the planning stages, industry insiders believe that Apple is going to be making a major play with its television set, in order to compete with other tech companies, including Amazon, which recently released its Amazon Fire TV system. Having a voice-controlled assistant in the television will make its operation easier for consumers and better stand out from rival competitors.

The report comes from 9to5Mac, which has a great track record when it comes to getting inside information on Apple products before they are released to the general public. While Apple will not comment publicly on any projects that are currently in development, what gave away the Siri inclusion in the Apple TV was a line of code that indicates Siri being added to a device that is referred to as "3." According to 9to5Mac, "3" is what Apple TV is referred to in company reports.
