Earlier this month, Apple unveiled its next major product - the Apple Watch. The new smart watch was originally slated to be released by the end of 2014, but various production setbacks have forced the tech giant to postpone. While Apple has not yet given a clear indication as to when buyers can expect the Apple Watch to land,  a new report points to February 2015 as the likely release window. While this has not been confirmed or denied by Apple, those familiar with the situation say this is an accurate projection.

Insider website 9to5Mac says that those within Apple are looking to release the Apple Watch sometime around Valentine's Day next year. While Apple would be missing out on the major shopping holiday this year, Valentine's Day still brings out many people looking for expensive gifts for their significant other, promising significant sales potential for the new smart watch. It is not currently known if the device will be released before or after the holiday, however, so there is still a chance it will also miss this date.

As the website notes, Apple has a history of releasing new updates and devices during this early part of the year. New iOS storage capacities and different colored smartphone models have been put up for sale in past Februarys, so this timeline for the Apple Watch would fall right in this tradition. Right now this information is all speculative, however, as Apple has only stated publicly that the watch will be available in "early 2015."
