If you regularly use the Automatic driving app from Apple - whether to plan out a long road trip or just to monitor your daily commute to and from work - there is good news for you! Apple announced earlier this week that the feature, which has up until this point been limited to smartphones, will soon be getting a new interface created specifically for the web.

The app will now be able to track user information in a more detail-oriented way, looking at distances traveled, miles per gallon, fuel cost and duration. The web version of Automatic will also include a series of new features.

Planning out a trip can often be a headache, as there are many different variables that you will have to take into account. Now, with the Automatic web app, you will be able to do all of that. Instead of focusing just on your past experiences in the car, the feature will be able to project future ones - making it possible for you to organize a trip by the distance's length, overall duration or even time of day.

This will allow you to know how much time you expect to spend in the car, as well as the amount of money a trip will cost you. The app will also calculate how much time you spend in the car throughout the week, helping users figure out ways to use their time more efficiently.
