Back in June we have seen how well Windows 10 is capable of handling older software applications, including Word for Windows 95, as Gabe Aul reported. This time around, we are learning about how impressive is Windows 10 when it comes to older hardware!

The time it takes for an organization to upgrade to a new operating system could be a lot shorter for businesses upgrading to Windows 10, than it ever was in the past.

The important factor to consider is that an influx of brand new Windows 10 touch screen tablets is about to reach consumers. Devices like the Microsoft Surface are expected to increase the appeal of tablets, including competing devices like the Apple iPad.

The biggest gripe inherited from the pre-mobile era, was how PCs would be capable of instantly switching from normal operating conditions, to a catatonic state from which nothing short of a complete, and time-consuming reinstall could bring Windows back to life. Windows 10 is set to change all that.
