Microsoft Surface Special Edition NFL Type Covers are here

Microsoft Surface Special Edition NFL Type Cover for Surface Pro 4

Microsoft’s $400M 5-year partnership initiated in 2013 with the NFL, has been a rather fruitful one, with growing exposure of Surface devices to sports fans, not only from the bleachers, and on TV, but also from within video games are well, with Surface tablets appearing in the hands of coaches, on the sidelines, in EA’s latest release of Madden NFL.

They might be a mouthful to ask for, but the new NFL-inspired Type Covers just released by Microsoft are definitely easy on the eye. featuring all 32 NFL teams. The new covers are compatible with both Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and 4.

One thing to note is that the new Type Cover is essentially a Signature Edition Type Cover, with NFL branding printed on a fabric that, while not exactly the high-end Italian-sourced Alcantara, it features a close approximation of a two-tone pattern on which NFL logos render rather well.

The Signature Type Cover was introduced by Microsoft this summer, stirring a few questions on why Microsoft has not included a fingerprint ID, as it did with the Type Cover unveiled alongside the Surface Pro 4. Much like the Signature version, NFL inspired Type Covers won’t include a Fingerprint ID.

Microsoft has made some serious improvements from the first Type Covers for Surface tablets. The Type Cover for the Surface Pro 4 features a much more laptop-like typing experience, with a wider gap between the keys, and longer travel, and the latest NFL Type Covers offers the same type of experience.
