A bloatware-free Windows PC? Get used to it.

The tool will run automatically, and will reset a PC, unattended, until a fresh copy of Windows 1o is installed successfully, without bloatware, or any third party software whatsoever.

Prior to Windows 10, bloatware reigned supreme, with adware and spyware vendors thriving within ecosystems that were both easy to hack, and accessible, through malware programs disguised as utilities, and often bundled with the installation of shareware.

Even worse, bloatware from third party vendors, can be sneaky enough to be vehicle for the spread of ransomware, allowing hackers to directly blackmail millions of users.

Granted that no operating system, not Windows, nor Mac OS X, nor Linux, is immune to bloatware, and other form of malware, Windows 10 seems to be radically more resilient, and capable of detecting threats much faster, and more effectively, than Windows 8 or Windows 7.

Even better, Windows 10 can be installed anew, without any kind of bloatware, even on laptops and other devices that come preloaded with it.

Prior to Windows 10, device manufacturers used to bundle third party bloatware with custom-maxde Windows installations, to keep the cost of devices low for budget consumers, by offsetting the cost through advertising. Unfortunately bloatware was frequently subject to abuse, to a point where performance issues were inevitable.

When Windows 10 was first launched, users discovered they could install Windows 10 on their devices using a USB flash drive, with a clean image downloaded directly from Microsoft, without malware or bloatware from any third party vendor.

This method was a little problematic for users without a certain skill level, which lead to a series of improvements to Windows 10 recovery options, directly accessible through the Settings app (Windows Key+I).

From within Settings > Update & Security > Recovery, clicking on “More recovery options” offers the ability to perform a “Repair install”, which completely wipes the current installation of Windows, and replaces it with a fresh copy downloaded directly from Microsoft.

Alternatively, a tool can be downloaded from this Microsoft webpage, which does essentially the same thing: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10startfresh

The tool will run automatically, and will reset a PC, unattended, until a fresh copy of Windows 1o is installed successfully, without bloatware, or any third party software whatsoever.
